Welcome to this annotated repository of documents and materials from the estate of the media theorist Friedrich Kittler. Records available here are based on documents held at multiple institutions, but predominantly Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach (DLA).

This service is part of Merve's special collections infrastructure, supported by the Hubert Burda Foundation and the hasdai project of CERN and Data Futures GmbH. It uses InvenioRDM and OCFL for long-term preservation, and promotes collaboration between researchers and editorial teams. The first volume of Kittler's Collected Works—"Aufsätze, Artikel, Rezensionen und Miszellen" I.B.4—was released at the end of 2021.
